The Regular Playdate

Every Tuesday afternoon Owen and Erin have Thomas (3), Freddy (2) and Harry (9 months) over or alternatively we go to their house for a playdate. Alice (their mum) is the most relaxed mum I have ever met and seldom gets into a spin, even with 3 boys!

This week it was our turn to host the playdate and I suggested to Alice that whoever is hosting makes a dinner for the children too so that we don't leave each others house with hungry and tired children. Our theme this week was pizza and I chopped up all the ingredients (cherry tomatoes for eyes, olives for a nose, yellow pepper for a mouth, mushrooms for ears and chopped pineapple for hair). Once they each made one I popped them in the oven. They were very impatient waiting for them but once out and cooled one could hear a pin drop it was so quiet. After the pizza they enjoyed some ice-cream with smarties from a smartie machine (that dispenses smarties) that Brendon bought for Owen in Dubai. It was a success and it was another enjoyable playdate.
